American Heritage- This is a required class that a lot of BYU students dread. I loved it. It was hard and intense, but it was one of the best combinations of American History and Economics I've had. I learned a ton and finally felt like I understood the basics of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Accounting 200- I took this class on a computer with an online professor who would lecture us through video and then we would see his slides displayed next to him on the video. After taking this class I decided I wanted to be an accounting major (laughable now) but I honestly thought accounting was so much fun. And it was! It played to my analytical side and my need for there to always be a right answer to the question.
Book of Mormon- My first graded religion class at BYU. Small class size made it personable and I learned a ton.
Sharing the Gospel- This was my mission prep class and it was taught by a wonderful professor- Dr. Livingstone. He was from Canada and served his mission among the Cherokee Indian Tribe. Sometimes he'd switch into Cherokee when he thought we weren't listening. It always caught my attention.
Entrepreneurial Lecture Series- Every week the Marriott School brought in different entrepreneurs to talk about their experience in starting their own companies and share lessons they had learned. It definitely lit the entrepreneurial spark that I think my Dad has been trying to get into me since I was 15.
Spreadsheets/Powerpoints- These were two .5 credit classes that taught the basics to Powerpoint and Excel. Who knew those programs could do so much?
